Hello!
I’m Sara Marie Hall (more commonly known as Sara Hall or probably just plain ol’ Sara). I’m currently a senior at Eastern Illinois University graciously (read: finally!) approaching my last semester as a journalism major and English and advertising minors.
My relationship with journalism has taken a few turns throughout the years. I started my own newspaper when I was in the third grade to watching. Really, I’ve always loved magazine journalism, especially fashion magazine journalism (thanks a lot, “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Sex and the City”). Seriously, if only you could have seen me as a 13-year-old girl — racing home to check the mailbox to see if the latest issue of Vogue was waiting for me — and it hasn’t changed much since. (Let’s not even talk about how much money I’ve spent on those conveniently placed issues of Harper’s Bazaar and NYLON throughout the years.)
Recently, though, I’ve realized that while I still want to be all about that long-form, glossy-page life, I may be interested in other things as well — specifically, aspects of the online and public relations world, and I’m trying to take as many opportunities as I can to dive right into this during my limited time as a college student.
After that? I guess I will just have to wait and see.
Oh, and when I’m not revolving my life around journalism, I like to run to Beyoncé songs, drink Diet Cokes and/or dark roast coffee (sometimes both) and obsess over puppies — the important things in life, you know.
